Silk's natural protein structure contains 18 amino acids that condition hair, while satin's synthetic fibers don't provide these benefits. Silk also maintains consistent smoothness regardless of temperature, whereas satin can become sticky in heat.

Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a delicate setting in a ‘silk-only’ load.

If hand washing, use a mild detergent. Gently massage the fabric for one minute to activate dirt removal and then leave to soak for the next four minutes. Rinse in fresh cold water.

Lay flat or hang in the shade until dry, away from the sun. Ironing and steaming is optional – keep on a low setting
