We explored the NYCB Archives and Costume Shop, studying the most memorable performances and seeing first-hand the dedication of its atelier in bringing the stage to life with fashion. Here we found a hidden world in the middle of the city, and the idea for our capsule. A celebration of the artistry of ballet that goes beyond choreography and extends to the aesthetic. The Clementine Ballet capsule has been designed to bridge the creativity of the theater with the rhythm of the city, translated onto silk. The central red ombre is our contemporary take on the iconic tutu, as featured in many of New York City Ballet’s performances. The supporting motif pattern honors the shared synesthesia of fashion and dance. These limited edition pieces in 100% organic silk are our tribute to the history and enduring impact of New York City Ballet.

Our bonnets are very popular and fit most heads well. We've designed our standard size with extra space and adjustable ties.

Every head shape, hair texture, and sleep style is different. If after trying on your bonnet, there is an issue with fit, we have return options available. There's also a sleep scarf and XL bonnet in our collection which you can revert to instead.

For smaller heads: Choose our standard bonnets and use the adjustable strap to tighten. For added support can also use an outer band made from stretch fabric to secure the bonnet more.

For voluminous, long, or thick and textured hair: Our XL bonnets are designed with more internal space and a wider opening.

Because this is a personal care item, for hygiene reasons, we cannot resell bonnets that have been worn or tried on—even briefly—however, we do offer: A 50% refund upon return OR 70% credit from your purchase toward an upgrade to our XL bonnet (at MSRP), upon return

All worn bonnets are steam-cleaned and donated to charities that support women in need.

To be eligible for a refund or credit, the bonnet must be returned to us and pass an inspection to confirm there’s no damage.

Please note: Once a bonnet has been worn overnight, we’re unfortunately unable to accept a return. However, we have several helpful videos with tips to address common concerns.

CLEANING
Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a delicate setting in a ‘silk-only’ load.

If hand washing, use a mild detergent. Gently massage the fabric for one minute to activate dirt removal and then leave to soak for the next four minutes. Rinse in fresh cold water.

DRYING
Lay flat or hang in the shade until dry, away from the sun. Ironing and steaming is optional – keep on a low setting

STORING
A cool and dry place is always best for storage. Neatly fold and store in your Clementine Sleepwear box.
